I have an XL1200Cx Roadster with an Arlen Ness Monster Sucker and a Screamin’ Eagle Pro Street Tuner. I had first started out purchasing a beautiful set of tapered 3” slip-ons from another manufacturer, and had concluded they were entirely too loud (even though they are rated as “moderate” by the online community). I am 50 at the time of this writing and want the right sound, but not at a level where I have tinnitus at the end of each ride. After much consternation and research, I settled on Screamin’ Eagle Street Cannon slip-ons (in chrome), and slash-cut end-caps in the same. I have owned these for well over a year now. My evaluation of these mufflers is that they are of excellent quality, and they generate the perfect mix of an increase in sound-level and sound quality compared to stock mufflers. They are not too loud, and not too quiet and sound great. An interesting note is that they seem to run a little quieter at idle after you have been riding for a while. It could be that they sound the greatest while the fuel-injection is in the open choke mode. After tuning the bike with the Pro Steet Tuner in learning mode for a couple of rides, I have a perfect mix of fuel delivery/acceleration and a nice deceleration-pop that puts a smile on my face. The entire Stage I experience is realized with an excellent power gain for the investment. There is a noticeable power increase while preserving the torque-curve- although you will never have the sharpest torque at the very bottom (just off throttle) that you have with the stock mufflers but with a proper air-intake and Pro Street Tuner added. For those who care, they even come with, and work well with, their own catalyzers and are EPA legal. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. It is on the expensive-side for what you get, though. You can’t help but disbelieve your purchase doesn’t come with end-caps, and it would look terrible omitting them. I would prefer a more integrated look of no separate end-caps. The best solution would be for H-D to offer these in a choice of tapered (old-school), baloney-cut, etc. read more.

Installed these in the last week. Sound exactly like I was hoping. Nice low rumble, not obnoxious. Took more time to get the old ones off. Maybe an hour for install.

Installed the Street Cannon Slip-Ons this last week. Sound exactly how I wanted. I didn't want them to be obnoxiously loud, just a bit louder over stock. I think they sound great.

They look great especially with the end caps, but unfortunately on deceleration they pop constantly which may be too much fuel in the chambers igniting. Not sure may be my 2015 1200 Custom. I put my old Rush back on and no poping. Harley was gracious enought to accept my return and refund. read more.

I have a 2017 XL1200T Will I still need to buy the new muffler clamps listed in your listing?, Or will the clamps already on my stock bike be able to be reused?
    Yodude66 - Ohio
    • Answer:
Hello Yodude66, Installation on your your 2017 SuperLow 1200T requires separate purchase of 3.25" End Caps and Muffler Clamps P/N 65900012 (Qty 2). All models require ECM calibration for proper installation. Thanks blairmke
  • Question:
    4/10/2020
Can I reuse the black muffler shields on the chrome street cannons on my 2020 Roadster?
    Cujo13 - Springfield, MA.
    • Answer:
Hi Cujo13, The OE mufflers are mostly a similar overall shape and diameter, and the installation instructions for these Screamin Eagle mufflers suggest that the OE muffler shields can be re-used. The inlet shape from the OE muffler varies from the inlet shape of the Screamin Eagle mufflers, so there' s a possibility that you won't love the way that they look after installation. For that reason, there is a muffler shield kit available that is specially designed just for these mufflers. The part number for the black version is 65400078. TheBronzeFonz read more.
