I’m not a fan of helmets especially in the warm months. Not long ago, I rode from the Houston, Texas area to the Phoenix, Arizona area. After the 1200 mile ride (one way), I found myself sunburned and wind burned. So I decided to research helmets and ended up buying the Outrush R Modular Bluetooth Helmet in Arizona. It made a world of difference and improved my riding experience back to Texas saving me from sun and wind burn. I also found the sound to be great and ease to use the Bluetooth on phones calls convenient. I’m a fan now of this particular helmet so much I recently bought one for my son. read more

Helmet looks great. The ventilation could be better. Main issue, it does not hold a charge after a year. I noticed the charging was diminishing month after month, until now, it won't even charge.- Houston4/16/2025

Built in sunshade is clunky and lever slaps it up or down, not smooth at all. The vent really don’t allow air to flow in. Sound quality is mixed. The helmet at higher speeds creates turbulence sounds so that carry through the helmet. Second half of the trip I had to wear ear plugs. Music from the bike is ok. Sound from the phone cannot be heard at speeds. The helmet is not Apple CarPlay compatible. I thought I had reviewed it enough before buying. I was concerned with compatibility with the Boom system and chose this over the same base Sena model that was $60 less. read more

It is reasonably Quiet going down the road. Hinges on Chin bar and Visors seem Great. It connects easily and quickly to my phone as well as my 2024 HD, But the speakers absolutely suck. It sounds like Charlie browns teacher when the volume is anything over 25%. Music and words are unrecognizable. Since i have worn it close to a 100 miles now it is not returnable. The dealer says they will send it in for repair and to expect @ least a 2-4 week process. I didnt expect this Helmet to have the best sound available - but i have and currently own 4 other Sena headsets and they all function great. Some sound better than others but i like them all. So i dont know if this helmet / sena combo really is just defective or just very poor quality. I suspect the latter as both the left and the right side speakers are equally poor ! read more
