It’s designed to instantly deploy in the event of a collision on the chest and central back area. Its cow leather build is also perforated to welcome airflow, has move-with-you side panels, and features reflective branding for enhanced visibility. Safety is paramount and I am always looking for new ways to be safer, which led me to explore smart vests. I looked at several competitors and none matched the look and style of the HD Smart Vest. This is the best-looking Smart Vest (or jacket depending on the manufacturer) on the market, true HD style. Make sure you read the manual, download the software to your computer, and register the vest with Dainese. I could not connect the vest to the Dainese smart app, I tried all the tricks possible. This is the only negative I experienced. Having the app on my phone to monitor battery life, put the vest in transport mode etc., is a convenience but not a requirement for the vest to operate. After charging the battery, connecting the wires in the vest and sitting on my running Road King, the LED indicator turned green indicating the vest was functioning as expected. Fitment of the vest was the same as any vest. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

My bike slide 60 yards, the deer flew 30 and I hit the road hard, ... but I was totally fine, just some soreness and bruises but nothing serious. Leather, full face helmet and the airbag save me from major damage, or worst. The airbag must be mandatory like the helmet. Not sure why people want to link the airbag with their phone here, ... you have to use a computer for the vest. read more

Quality seems to be spot on like most of Harley’s jackets. Directions to set up are not the best. Set up directions don’t come from Harley but from Dianese who actually makes the vest. Luckily I was able to find a website that showed where the connections needed to be made, the canister’s can’t be plugged in. Charging port is easily accessible. Other than that, it’s a nice vest. Fits true to size, I wear 2xl jacket and that’s what I ordered. Little pricey but I bought prior to Christmas so saved a little. read more

Answer:Does not connect with Apple products the application does not work - had to go to Dainese store - they setup and registered- took only few minutes- you have to use the charging cable that it came with regular USB-C cable did not work- once setup it’s Great
