    Horrible experience so far

Horrible experience so far and they're not even installed yet! I've ordered more parts online and headed back to the dealership for a 3rd time. Instructions do not tell you that part of the handlebars need to be cut off in order to install. The wiring comes as 3 wires, are NOT plug and play as some people claim. There is no need to buy the extra harness on some bikes. Some bikes have a heated grip power source inside the fairing -be sure the dealership sells you the correct clip! (Mine didn't). The wires are made to go outside the bars. There is a massive fuse that you must cut off and void the warranty if you want to run them inside. You must also cut into your control assembly and cut a notch into the grip itself to run the wiring nicely and not have it running oddly under the control assembly. Wish I would have known this all before I would have saved myself $300 and a massive headache!! read more.

I like the diameter of the grips. They are comfortable. However they don’t get hot. They get warm but not hot.

Bought as a gift. What better way to pamper your honey than heated hand grips? What gets cold the fastest while riding? Your hands!

I have swapped the factory handle bars with 10” apes. Is there an extension for the wire coming from the throttle to the left grip? Right now the wire is about 12” short.
    49Panhead - Iowa
    • Answer:
49Panhead That kit should have come with Wire-Harness extension, PN 70259-02. If you have that installed and the wire is too short, kit may not have been designed to accommodate your 10" apes. Thanks, blue84irnhd

My husband has a 2020 street glider. If I bought these do they need to be installed or can he do it?
    MelAnne - Kings park ny
    • Answer:
Hello Melanne, Depending on how mechanically inclined your husband is. If he thinks he can do it then all means but if he messes something up with the install there might be an issue getting warranty. Gigglesthehelper
