I was in between aftermarket Stage 2 kits and Screamin’ Eagle kit and after reading countless reviews, asking millions of questions to technicians in my dealership, decided to go with this kit. Not only to keep the warranty but I only wanted a little bit more torque and more character on my 23 Sport Glide. Dealership didn’t have the chrome kit so we went with the black kit but with a little trick by keeping stock chrome pushrod caps. Looks quite unique according to other people. This kit fulfilled all my needs and didn’t cost a kidney. My 107 runs much cooler now, pulls hard when need to and according to my backpack, rides much more smoother as she almost fell a sleep on our last 500 miles trip. Bike also sounds much meaner now (Street Cannon muffler with stock headers / Cat on). That’s very cliche but these bikes should come like this from the factory. As she sits about 7k miles, we kept the stock lifters for now as mechanic confirmed that they can handle the remaining miles and we may replace them with SE lifters at 10k service. I’ll probably go with SE lifters SE oil pump kit at 10k to compliment this Stage 2 build. In the future, I may even consider Stage 3 upgrade but keep the torque cam to avoid having a space rocket but a torque monster. Downside is, bike is so much fun now and I’ve been riding non-stop since the Stage 2 upgrade. I literally see myself riding in my dreams, wake up and go for a quick stretch which usually ends up as a 100 miles trip. Note: With my setup, this stage 2 torque kit gave following Dyno results: 99.3 HP / 136.4nm torque at the wheel. I could probably get more if I had a full exhaust system. read more.

Cam did just as expected and pulls hard. Do yourself a favor and get the high capacity clutch pack and springs. Since I ride a softail, I originally considered the horsepower kit but, at over 600lbs, the torque kit works plenty well.

Torque 447 cam produces some good extra punch through mid range RPM. Very nice!

  • Question:
    10/16/2024
While this shows as fitting my bike, in the description it says that is not to be used on a 23 touring bike with a factory 117 engine. Which is actually correct? 23 flhxst 117

  • Question:
    4/23/2024
Should the lifters be replaced when do the stage 2 upgrade to 114
    Brad - Nebraska
    • Answer:
Not always. Roller tappets do not "wear in together" with cam lobes they way flat tappets do. That said, if they have over 20k miles on them it's not a bad idea. If there is visible wear or frosting on the rollers, yes.
      • Answer:
Lifters should always be replaced when installing a new cam as they wear in together. It is best to get higher performance lifters when installing a performance cam. Ensure to pump up your new lifters before installing them. Jar vacuum sealers work great.

It certainly will change the sound and you will hear the looping as you should at idle. Don't listen to Shardae.

Hello Jayz, The Screamin' Eagle Milwaukee-Eight Stage II, will not change the sound of the engine.
