Keep comfortable on cool morning or frigid night rides. These thermostatically controlled grips feature variable heat settings controlled with a military grade resistor, and use automatic temperature monitoring to adjust to ambient temperatures. Grips have been thermally mapped to provide a more uniform heat and are designed to achieve a maximum operating temperature approximately 20° Fahrenheit warmer than previous accessory heated grips for added warmth during cold rides.

Installed on a 2007 FXSTC SOFTAIL CUSTOM with STREET SLAMMER BARs that have the switch block/turn signal wires routed internal. Because of the internal routing of the switch block/s wiring through the handle bars there was no room to pull the X-over grip connector through the bars. I cut off the connector on the R/H grip internal long 2-wire harness and pulled it through the R/H bar from the grip opening to the bars lower wire exit opening with a piano wire. As the grip is slid on the bar end, the slack must be pulled from the bottom because there is no room in the end of the bar for excess wire. I routed the harness end down to the FWD R/H side of the frame under the tank for later. I used a dremel tool to grind a small relief notch in the L/H grip block for the heated grip external power harness. I cut the connector off the L/H grip internal wire harness and soldered it to a long 2-wire fabricated harness. I pulled the fabricated harness from the grip opening through the bar and then routed it like the R/H side, down to the FWD R/H side of the frame where it was connected with crimps to the R/H harness. I made a wire service loop at the crimps incase the grips needed to be removed. Removing the tank and the above work was the most difficult and time consuming part. Routing and connecting the external PWR, GND and accessory power was easy. I had to remove the battery to install the fuse adapter wire connector into the fuse block labeled (P read more.

I love the look and feel of these. The shape and contours and the texture of the rubber all make for really a solid grip on the bars, while looking cool doing so. I had heated grips on my 08 Street Glide that were OK, but did not get early as warm as these. My hands are warm even when riding yesterday when it was about 35 degrees. I prefer grips to heated gloves, because I don't have to mess with cables or batteries. The second day I had them, I noticed, as my hand brushed past a corner of the rubber, that it was already starting to peel up. I checked the other corners where the rubber meets the chrome and same thing on several of them. Not sure if they will continue to peel or if they manufacturer couldn't get the glue to the edge of the rubber as it would leak onto the chrome. I can say they look and feel great and really keep me warm, but can't recommend them until I see if they will peel more. read more.

    • I am wanting a set of heated hand grips for my bike for Christmas. I would be extremely pissed if I got them installed and they peeled!

I have a 2016 CVO Limited that has these grips installed but are now no longer working. Will these replace the ones I have? Also can these be internally wired?
    Mike D - Conway, SC
    • Answer:
Hello Mike, No they have to be external and it all depends on how long you bought them as if they will have warranty or not. Gigglesthehelper

why does this product not get 5 stars?
    JRrrrr - LONDON
    • Answer:
I didn't give it five stars because the rubber is peeling up a little in several of the corners on both grips. Only one is st s point that needs glue. They don't seem to be getting any worse but until I know for sure I am reluctant. To give them 5. They are warm, though.

Will these definately fit a 2015 FXDB Street Bob 103?
    Bav63 - Rugby, UK
    • Answer:
Hi Bav63, Yes, these Airflow Collection Heated Hand Grips will fit a 2015 FXDB and they would require the separate purchase of Electrical Connection Kit P/N 72673-11. We apologize for the incorrect Instruction Sheet, it will be corrected shortly. Thank you for your question.
