Bought my suit about 2 years ago and have been waiting to post a review until I had worn it a few “frog chokers”. In the past 2 years I have ridden through several drenching storms with hail and high winds. Well, been there done that now. Most recently I just returned from a 3,000 mile trip through Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. We hit a torrential hail storm in Colorado Springs during rush hour and had to pull over and stand on the roadside because the hail was so painful and there was standing water on the road up to our tailpipes. All of us had Harley rain suits on. Our host lived where we had to ride over 2 miles of mud caked road. One of our party dumped his bike in the slippery mud and face planted and was coated with thick clay mud. When we arrived, we sprayed him down for about 5 minutes with a garden hose under pressure. NONE of us had a drop of water under our suits. You would have to jump into a swimming pool to get as much water on your suits as we had on ours that day. Great suits! Worth every penny. For what it is worth we were very “visible”in that traffic. I could see my brothers reflective strips “light up” as cages went past us. In my opinion the yellow was the most visible in the diminishing light. By the way, the top of the suit, worn over a hoodie was an excellent wind breaker in the high mountains, kept me toasty!

It’s been my go to item when temps drop in the evening and it’s fantastic for light rain. During heavy rains, the nature of the zipper and Velcro make it prone to leaks. You must pay close attention during heavy to ensure the Velcro is fully secured all the way to your neck. Otherwise, the jacket will leak. I use the jacket frequently; however, it's not fail safe during heavy rains. The pants also have fantastic reflective characteristics. They’re a bust on two levels. One, they leak in the bottom/seat. Two, while they fit nicely while standing, when you’re in the saddle the design prevents bending your legs at 90 degrees. This is especially the case when the stirrups are used beneath your boots. There is significant pressure on the front of your knee due to this design. In short, the pant is great while standing, terrible while sitting, and it leaks badly in the bottom/seat. read more

I ride commute daily 100 miles and in South Florida when it rains its no joke like today in June rained all day in 2 counties I ride in .got wet this morning surprise showers ( its a thing down here really.) no rain gear on got soaked twice shirt wet and pant wet and maned up and thats life. Rode home after work with gear on and guess what same wet effect like in AM commute but add mad to second ride home , you got be flamingo me !.save your money sadly this gear it don't cut it . on way home rode in first 20 mins and could feel a soaking coming on it all went down hill . got home 50 mins later shirt all wet , pants wet at the seat its like I didn't wear a suit, I could feel the water soaking my arms and working its way around my shirt. oh the joy of a ride and a sit-down rinse , whats the deal not first time this happens but today I'm filing divorce papers on this deal . wasted money it's not waterproof . its a 200 dollar wind breaker combo set then . if you ride long and hit solid rain showers this camping tent material will not be written about in your journal at camp trust me . I give it 2 stars one for high vis. let friend use it to block wind one ride out of Daytona at night and my Daymakers lit him up hard Ray Charles would see him coming a mile away and other star for ease of getting gear on, the side zipper on pant legs is a must have for sure getting gear on on side of road or rest stop its an easy task. the search continues for the real waterproof rain gear so I can arrive somewhere dry and not require a wardrobe change or a beach towel like today .they say rain for the next week or so time for more towels huh. good luck read moregroup962 - South Florida - Motorcycle: 2019 Road GlideHelpful? Answer:Hello Hooch, The pants have an elastic band on it, the jacket does not but since the jacket is a heavier material it does not need it. The cuffs do have the elastic with a double flap zipper front. I hope that helps. Thank you, wildonemke

Answer:Hi Imd1097, The H-D Online Store has a sizing chart for the Hi-Vis Rain Suit--underneath the picture. Sometimes it is hard to determine what size would fit best--the rain suits fit larger than average. Start with your standard size first and go from there.
