Backrest cannot be adjusted far enough forward.
I cannot believe anyone would review this product with 5 stars if they actually tried to use it after installation. The backrest is 2 1/2 to 3 inches short of being far enough forward to be of any function. I am 5'11" and 215 Pounds with a 34" sleeve on shirts. In other words I am the average adult male. When the backrest is adjusted as far as it will go forward and if I lean back to allow the backrest to actually touch my back my fingertips just barely reach the grips. This design is a total joke. Was it designed for Dennis Rodman or for the average rider??? I will have to pay to have a spacer/plate fabricated to try to make the backrest functional. Any reviews that fail to take this into account are written by professional basketball players or people whose tour pack is still sitting in the box. read more.

    • I’m 6’1 and I can’t lean back far enough to touch the backrest. This bracket should be adjustable considering the difference in rider size. I cannot give high praise to an new part that needs modification straight outta the box.

    • For the guy complaining about the backrest being to far back, you should have checked that out first, I had mine built out 3" more and its perfect

    • Can't you change the position that the Tourpak is mounted to the rack, and move it forward?

    solo tour pak
I have to admit, before buying the Harley solo mount I did purchase an aftermarket product. That was a mistake. Piece of garbage didn't fit well at all. Ordered the Harley solo tour Pak mount. Works perfectly. It does require a solo seat, stock one is still too high. But so worth it. Its like going down the road in a lazy boy recliner. Plus when I had the two up mount you could really feel the weight of the tour pak. I don't even notice the weight now. read more.

Hello Christos, There shouldnt need to be one. I would visit your local dealer and there might be something else going on. Gigglesthehelper
