Like everyone else has said you have to get different bolts to install the hardware. When I check to see if it would fit on my bike. It mentioned if you have saddle bags it gave another part number. To my surprise it was for saddle bags. For the price I don’t know why they can’t just give you the different lengths in the package

Disconnect the bottom of the rear shocks at the swing arm and with a Jack under the Frame at the front of the rear tire let the swing arm and the tire fall down so you can have access on top of the tire- IN5/2/2023

They are too Long without Saddlebags.Also they are made to insert through the back side of the fender. If used inside the fender the bolt heads are Hex with showing nuts on outside. Just looks cheap? In Order to install the Tire needs to be removed. I decided not to use and ordered a set off Amazon (TCMI H-D Quick Release Docking Hardware Kit Fits For Harley Sportster XL Detachable Sissy Bar 2004-2020) Part Number HD2906C01. These worked perfectly, With these the Rack looks as if it was a Factory Install. The quality of the HD Hardware set is very good the reason for the 3 rating , HD should offer specific Mounting Hardware for each different use and include the correct information in the Description. Returned to Harley Davidson, waiting for a Refund. read more.

Answer:Hello Bolt, They will work as they are made to work with saddle bags as well. You also need to remove the bolt of the shock to let the swing arm come down a bit so you can install them. Most of the reviews they are not running saddle bags. Gigglesthehelper

Answer:Hello Cmclemore_2007, If you install the saddle bag supports P/n 91790-84c It Will not fit with H-D® Detachable accessories. Part Number 53544-04 fits sportsters, It would not fit the fatboy and with out knowing what saddlebags you have I cannot advise on which docking kit works.
