Who was the Engineer that didn't realize the passenger seat is inches wider than the opening in the detachable backrest??? So you can't take the backrest off without removing the seat. Also the side plates make permanent marks on the seat because it's too wide. It's comfortable but without a backrest my wife won't ride and the seat looks silly on a Sportster without a backrest. Wish I could get my money back. read more.

My new seat arrived a week early , that was great. My passenger and I enjoyed the comfort of the ride with the new reduced reach seat , also it was easy to install on the bike . made for the 883 iron.

Is it normal to have a gap of around 2 inches between the seat and the gas tank?
    Sebas - Miami
    • Answer:
Hi Sebas, It's not normal for all cases, it depends on the type of seat and the bike. We recommend seeing your Harley-Davidson for an opinion. Thanks.
