This cam is a great match for riders of heavy Touring bikes looking for big torque at the low end. Just a quick downshift to fourth gear results in an effortless pass of that slow moving tractor-trailer ahead of you. A unique combination of lift, cam lobe duration and an enhanced cam profile ramp provides a performance boost you can feel.

    Excellent Cams
On my prior 16 limited had the 585 cams installed with the screaming eagle springs, lifters, adj push rods, s&s breather assembly, fulsac head pipe with jackpot 4" mufflers and screamin eagle pro super tuner (orange one). Previous model 12 had 255s cams which where fine but just fell off at highers rpm's. The 16 at 70 mph two up would just climb to any speed without downshifting and just kept rolling. Definitely would recommend these cams. Now I have a 18 limited with the HD torque cam and love this bike also. Constantly asked which one would pull better ? Haven't ran against my old bike yet but the way this M8 feels the 16 would take it, pray not, we will see some day. Anyway love these 585 Cams read more.

    Dyno chart is incorrect
hi, the dyno chart say's 103HO, but it the chart for the 103 only. Look at this link to the other Harley chart that shows 103HO stage 1. I wonder what the correct Dyno numbers are ? http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/screamin-eagle-stage-1-air-cleaner-kit-chrome

    SE-585 in a 2015 CVO 110

I've run just about every cam in the post 09 touring bikes. The cam I first put in my 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra was the SE-259e.These pushed the torque curve too far to the right for the stock setup. The SE-585 puts the curve right between the two. Great highway roll on torque from 2800 to 5000. Very quiet compared to the 259e. I've now built on the 585s with a 58mm throttle body, high flow injectors, lifters, springs, intake and polished and ported heads. The 117 short kit is waiting to be installed. If you're not running your bike past the 5500 rpm range regularly then the SE-585 in my opinion is the best heavy touring cam yet. read more.

Can these be used with stock pushrods? Or is there a specific length "perfect fit" pushrod instead of adjustable?
    Newbie - Corpus christi
    • Answer:
Hello, You will need either adjustable or perfect fit pushrods. I would check out your local dealer if you're looking for perfect fit pushrods to make sure you get the right ones.
