The T-15 head is a little shallow, so just be careful to keep your tool aligned with the bolt and you shouldn't have any problems.

These are very easy to strip due to the small T15 driver size. There are more robust solutions out there that take a T20 driver bit instead, have a deeper socket for the bit, don't strip, cost about half as much, and look as good or better.

Bought a brand new cam cover from local dealer and the timing cover hole are not threaded. Is this normal?
    BFly - Maine
    • Answer:
Hello Bfly, Yes this is normal. The timing cover screws are made to cut the threads as you put them in so they dont fall out. Gigglesthehelper

I bought a new timing cover the Harley one with the 1 on it so the stock screws are to short and wont screw in so are these ones a bit longer than stock or will I have the same problem and why the new cover didnt come with screws is beyond me
    Troy84 - Ohio
    • Answer:
Hello Troy84, With out knowing what bike and what timer kit the only guess i can make is that it is a twin cam and the stock timer cover screws are .5 inches in length and that should be sufficient to bolt on the new timer cover. The screws in this kit are .5 inches. I hope that helps. Thank you, wildonemke read more.
