I chose to place the chrome suspension and its nuts to complement the elegant presence of my 2004 Road King classic. I definitely recommend that you use these spare parts. I am very satisfied. The quality of the product is excellent. The motorcycle definitely looks very good. I chose the product online, and it was suitable. Thank you so much. read more.

    Nice finishing touch
See what I did there? lol They really do make the bike look more complete with chrome all over. I combined them with the flame embossed upper covers and I really like the look. Also, I had the premium double cartridge shocks installed at the same time so there wasn't any additional labor charge for the chrome. read more.

I purchased these forks and installed them on my motorcycle. With me having a chromed Nacelle and Headlamp assembly with auxiliary lights that are also chrome, it just made sense for me to complete the flow of the front end by adding the chrome lower fork sliders. I even changed out my fork boots, but I went with the Arlen Ness Deep Cut Black. Now, this purchased item does come with new fork seals and quad ring. You will have to purchase separately the o-ring. I should also point out that this item does not come with matching chrome axle holder nuts, washer and lock washer. You will have to purchase this separately also but it should only cost around $8-$10. It would have been nice if this was also included with the purchase. While you're in there, I would encourage you to also purchase and replace the fork leg bushings, slider bushings and retainer clip. As long as you don't bend or damage your original retainer clip, you should be fine and it would need to be replaced. You will also need to replace the 6 mm screw with copper washer that screws into the damper tube from the bottom of the fork slider. I just decided to change out everything since I was already in there and the parts aren't really expensive. You can still use the slider spacer though and not replace it. It's pretty hard to damage that. Now, if you're having this done at the dealership or another repair or custom shop, they will replace all necessary parts anyway. You will love the end result for sure. read more.

2011 RK. What other chrome components do I need to purchase to install fork sliders?
    hilldarren - wa
    • Answer:
As I remember, if you purchase the FRONT END KIT-CHROME, it will have everything you need, including the chrome sliders, upper chrome covers, chrome wheel spacers and axle nut covers. I had to purchase the chrome drain plugs separately.
