Bought the mustache engine gaurds they were shipped to me in in very reasonable time. When I received them my girlfriend and I had them installed in 15 minutes, they added real character to my 2024 Heritage 114. BEST INVESTMENT FOR YOUR BIKE. As a new rider, the day after I put it on, I went into a gravel driveway for the first time and layed down my bike. (First time I put it down as a new rider). The only thing that was hurt was my pride, the engine guard saved my paint and side from the gravel with minor scratching to the guard itself. Also, instal was simple and took about 30 minutes, and the highway pegs are nice to stretch my legs out on longer rides. It has already exceeded the price I paid in value, and still looks amazing!

This engine guard added just the agressive stance I was looking for on my Softail Standard all while adding extra prtoection to the bike. It went on easy, took about 10-15 minutes, and changed the look of the bike immediately. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for extra security and appearance. I will be added foot pegs. Based off of other reviews, I would not recommend using the rubber foot mounts that come with it as you can tell they would easily wear down quickly.

Easy to install but need extra set of hands. Hardest part was the plastic plugs on the bottom of the frame. Should have heated up a flat head screwdriver to melt into the face of the plug, as it has to be un threaded. Bolt and nut on the top of the bars would have been nice to be threaded as well. Not much space to get an end wrench in with the nut taped on as not to fall off.
Love being able to straighten out my legs with these bars make the ride more enjoyable.

I saw reviews saying this part did not fit their bike so I highly recommend making sure to check for fitment on your specific bike. I have a 2022 low rider s and it showed this fit my bike so I bought it. Was easy enough to install and for anyone who has never put engine guards on, start with the top bolt not the bottom two and you will find it a little easier to get on. Due to my bike having the air cleaner sticking out on the side you leg will rest against the side of the air cleaner if you put you feet up on the bars. Great fit, great look, easy to install. Gotta go with 5 stars on this one.

Looks great on my 2021 Heritage Softail Classic. I hope I never need to find out if it holds up to a drop or worse, but if so, it seems to be built to do so. My only gripe is that it was off a little where I could not line up the holes during install and ended up having to take it to Harley to have them put it on for me.

Great addition to my 2021 Heritage Softail, not only does it look good, its functionality as a engine guard is unmatched by non HD after market parts. The black is spot on with the "blackout" 114 package. It has a foot rest built-in so there is no need for additional highway pegs. If you want a sleak look with minimalist design, then this is the one for you.

It fit my 2020 Harley Davidson Fat Boy 30th Anniversary edition. However, it is not wide enough to protect all of the bike including the floorboards should the bike tip over. The guard just isn’t wide enough. I also had trouble fitting Harley Davidson highway pegs (angled mount part 50500168) and the mount would not fit. Returned bar to Harley dealer

I spent a lot of time thinking about buying this as I wasn't sure I was sold on the look. However, once I had it on my bike I really like it a lot. It's also nice to have a place to kick my feet up to stretch on longer rides. Only down side is the air cleaner box is slightly in the way based on where the foot rest is when I stretch out my right leg. I've managed to get accustomed to working around it though.

The mustache crash bars look great on my 2021 Fat Bob and they added another place to put my feet when I need to stretch. We had a little difficulty getting the bolts to line up but it suddenly snapped into place and fit like a glove.

I had to follow the instructions backwards because the engine guard was designed so tight that I need to add a few pounds of pressure after inserting the center bolt to line up all three holes at once. Otherwise I got exactly what I expected, high quality powder coat and a perfect fit once pressure was applied.

i must say that when engine guard starts to wonder my mind, i wasn’t really thinking of buying HD product. but when they drop the price i gotta get it... anyway installation is a breeze.. just gotta get smart and work with your hands... side bolts first then the top.. and pls. when installing DO NOT remove the protective cover just yet ... rip it when all is nice and tight.. anyway the guard looks awesome and i’m glad that i went with the HD product..

just picked up 2021 low rider s. the bike looks very cool and has lots passing power thought all 6 gears. at freeway speed the bike grips the turns with no problem. I'm comparing it to my 18 iron 883 that I use to commute. of Corse there's always room for improvement like traction and cruse control witch would help for someone like my self that ride year round rain or shine. i could understand not having traction control, but cruse control; "really" that was a feature found on the dyna low rider. yes I know I could add it to the bike, but why take away from what customers wont. feature that was once on this model. now to trac control the bike already has abs standard what's the big deal add to the harness, a yaw rate sensor and update ecu and just sale a calibration for trac control as accessory. also please Harley if you are listening to your customers, make a available all accessories and paint color code when new motorcycles are relies for sale, not months later, especially when your new color midnight crimson on my fxlrs is awesome. enough of my rant; back to the my fxlrs, this bike with dual disc in front stops on dime and 28 degree rake monoshock and inverted front makes carving canyons soo much smother. with a 5 gallon gas tan I don't have to stop at the gas station every day before work. with added saddle bags the bike is still slim enough to split lain through traffic. I've already put 1k mile in two weeks and the performance and handling of the m8 has not disappointed this by is definitely not a beginner bike but it is a awesome all around bike to grow into

Overall, I’m pleased with the looks. The top nut had limited space for a wrench to reach on the back side, but it’s manageable. The metal appears a little thin to me and does not feel very heavy duty. A slight ripple was visible in the top section. I added some highway pegs and can see a little give on the highway bar when I place my feet on the aftermarket pegs. Overall, I like the bar and believe it adds a stylish look that I enjoy.

This engine guard is the absolute awesome addition to my 2018 Sport Glide. Easy install, looks great.. totally satisfied. If you need hint on getting those plastic plugs out of the frame holes, heat a flat head screwdriver and press into it to create a slot.. let cool, then just screw it out :)

Installed these last month and wouldn't you know it, five days later a mishap with oncoming car at a 4 way stop had my bike go over on its right side. These saddlebag guards along with an engine guard saved my bike from getting any damage. Only damage was to the right side of the guards which touched up nicely using a Harley frame paint pen. Without the guards, I probably would have been out at least a couple of hundred to a thousand doallars considering how much it costs to replace a saddlebag etc. This purchase was well worth the money for the protection to the bike they offer plus they add to the look of the bike.

I’m very happy with this engine guard that I installed on my 2018 FLSB Sport Glide a couple of months ago. As expected, it was very high quality in workmanship and has a beautiful gloss black finish. As well, it was an easy installation process with a precision fit on my bike. That said, there are three tips that i’d like to recommend when purchasing and installing this item. First of all, before leaving the dealer with your new engine guard kit, open the box and make sure all the attaching hardware is included as listed on the instruction sheet. In my case, I was missing the “flanged nut”. More than likely all the parts will be there but, if not, the parts salesman will gladly replace it on the spot. Secondly, when installing the guard, cover the back of the front fender for protection in case the top of the guard pivots forward while installing the bottom bolts. In my case, I utilized one of the soft foam tubular bags that were part of the internal packaging material. Third and last, “removing the plastic plugs from the frame mounting holes as instructed is not just a matter of popping them out as they are actually threaded and screwed in like a bolt. That’s it! I love-em.
