I think the product description is misleading. The fairing on a Street Glide will force the handle bars to be pushed down and reducing the height of the grips significantly. I can see it work on a Road Glide or Road King where the fairing or windshield does not interfere.

Theses handlebars are well made, i only wish they were a little beefier to avoid vibration in the right hand. At this price point i do not regret this purchase

The 2022 Ultra limited (FLHTK) comes with an 8 inch bar, and barely clears the tank. I don’t even know how people do tight maneuvers when handlebar does not even properly clear the bike. The stock bars made me slouch when I would be riding and my lower back would be killing me even after a 20 mile ride. Road glide comes with 12” bars stock and that bike is usable out the gate, FLHTK, not so much. Anyway, enough of my rant. Some background here, I’m 6’2”, and need more leg and arm room. I believe the handlebar fitment depends on what seat you have installed, so I’ll state for the fact that I have a Harley Hammock heated and cooled seat, which I believe seats you back roughly by an inch than a stock seat on 2022 FLHTK. Now to the review - I had used tallboy seat before and was satisfied with the legroom that it offered on my Fatboy S, so I decided to give this handlebar a try as Harley claims it works well for riders up to 6’3” height, and to some extent it does help. The rise in this handlebar is 11.2 inches roughly, which I thought would be enough, but alas, I think that this handlebar is still too small, and I believe that if they had 12.5 inch rise, it’d be perfect, as I still get back ache after 300-400 mile ride. My 2016 Fatboy with 13 inch high handlebar on the other hand does not give me any back ache if I rode that distance on it. Another reason I chose this is because I had read in forums that you might not need to change any stock controls in order to install this handlebar. The dealerships wanted me to pay 8-9 hours for this handlebar install, so I decided to try installing this myself, given that I wouldn’t need to change much of the controls. Harley Davidson claims you will not be able to use your stock heated grips but I was able to reuse them. They also mention you need wire extensions. I wired the handlebar externally, just like it came from the factory, and didn’t require any extensions. This fact is hidden somewhere in the instruction sheet that Harley provides with the handlebar and is not quite obvious. If you just look at their fitment guide, they will have you buy the wire extensions as well. It took me approximately 5 hours end to end trying to do the install myself. Overall, I’d say the build quality was good, and the handlebar is kind of good fit, but I’ll probably replace these with a bar between 13 and 14 inch rise, that offers at least 10-11 inch pull back. For reference, I have added some photos to show how it compares with the stock FLHTK handlebars. read more.

I bought these for my bike a few months ago the stock bars had me slumped forward also. I installed them myself. it was very easy job and I didn't need the wire extension.

Have a new Street Glide and find my lower back hurting as I'm 5'9 and leaning forward too far. Tried the reach bars and the wrist angle is just too uncomfortable. Mainly looking to maintain the wrist angle of stock but with a shorter reach to sit upright

What is the pullback, the meaning? The tallboy states it has a pullback of 6.09
    Menace - Colorado
    • Answer:
Hi Menace, Pullback is the distance of the handlebar tips to the rider. The greater the pullback the less reach for the rider. Thanks.
