These pegs only work if you are wearing a shoe with a gummy outsole. The finish on the grips are slick for any stiffer outsole and will cause your foot to slide with vibration and wind. If you have mid-controls, you need to angle them forward a bit. Also make sure to raise your shifter so your foot has room to move. I love the look. They're just not practical for tougher boots. They're only good for dry days and light riding shoes. You could also use construction boots with the flatter, gummy outsole. Your soles won't make contact with the whole peg. The edge piece that runs around the peg sits higher than the center, so the contact points in the middle are pretty much worthless. Make sure your outsoles are flat. If you have any boots with regular soles it will tear them up in the middle. I would also advise lock tight or a more serious super glue once you've chosen your angle. If you stand up on these pegs, they like to slip and rotate on you. read more.

I use these for my Highway pegs, they give you a good no slip grip in wet weather. Also you can adjust there angle for comfort.

Wanted them to work. Love the look. Then, and I installed them, and went for my first ride, my boot got stuck between the peg and the shifter and I immediately knew I could not use them. Came home and put the original pegs back on. I have a 9.5 size boot, so it's not my feet. Never thought this would be a problem, but it was. I had a moment of panic actually when my boot would not come out. I tried a couple more shifts and same things happened. Hoping HD allows me to return them so I don't waste $191. read more.

    • If it were black it would turn light as you scrape it. It's meant to be scraped so there is no point I would say.

    • I believe you may be referring to the replaceable wear peg on the underside. Great foot pegs, enjoy them. Superb quality as with all HD parts.

    • Not fair to give 1 star here. I can CLEARLY see that the pegs are not black.

    • The pictures are not at the best angle. The shadow makes the pegs look black. I say take em off and paint them black or just take them off and leave em off.

I’ve only gotten one real ride since putting on but they definitely lock your foot into place, almost too well when wearing boots with a chunkier heel, but makes me feel more comfortable while riding at higher speeds with the vibration of the 883. Overall I love that they are wider than stock pegs and look amazing on my bike. read more.

  • Question:

Do these work on forward controls on a 2017 iron 883
    Iron rider - IL
    • Answer:
Iron Rider, The fitment statement is Fits '17-later XG750A and '09-later XL883N models. It doesn't specify any issues with being used on forward controls so it should not be a problem unless your forward control mounts have a different fitting for the footpeg mount.

Do these fit the 2022 Pan America? Web site says they do not.
    Keith - Utah
    • Answer:
Hello Keith, Unfortunately the 80Grit foot peg w/ wear bar is not a fitment for Pan America. The 80Grit foot peg without wear bar, p/n 50501383 is a valid fitment for your Pan America. Regards, LowRiderGuy

  • Question:

Do these foot pegs fit forward controls? And/or are they adjustable?
    Jeff - Washington
    • Answer:
Good Morning Jeff, The number you provided (50501385) is listed as an approved fitment for MY 17 and later XG 750A and MY 2009 and later XL883N models. It appears that the ones that work with forward control kits appear to be 50503187. You didn't include your model of bike so currently that is the best information I can supply. I hope this helps. Have a great day. read more.
