The reigning champion seeks another #1 plate on his H-D Pan America ST.
Cory West has built a reputation as one of the most consistent and skilled riders in American motorcycle racing. His motorcycle obsession began in his youth, starting with motocross and transitioning to road racing, where his natural talent quickly set him apart. He began racing in the AMA Pro Racing series, competing in the SuperSport and Superbike classes, where his aggressive but calculated riding style earned him consistent podium finishes. West’s success continued as he moved into the MotoAmerica Championship, competing in Superbike and Superstock 1000, and became widely known as a tactical rider.
It was then that Harley-Davidson came calling.
In 2020, it was time to compete with heavy metal. West joined the Mission® King of the Baggers series. West’s adaptability and expertise made him a standout rider in the series, which has quickly gained popularity. His involvement with the series showcased not only his skill but also the potential of Harley-Davidson’s V-twin machines in competitive racing.
Cory West currently rides for the Bar & Shield in both the Super Hooligans and King of the Baggers classes for the Saddlemen race team, often having to race both on the same day during a race weekend. The Super Hooligans series is known for its fast-paced, exciting racing, and West quickly adapted to the unconventional machines. In 2024, Cory earned his crown and #1 plate by winning the championship, piloting his H-D Pan America, cementing a strong following among fans of the series.
You can often find Cory at the Saddlemen tent at racetracks, alongside his wife Patricia, who is a ground-breaking racer herself. The future is bright for Cory, and we’re happy to be along for the ride.
