Hard to get the brightness correct
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 2014 Road King. I truly love it and ride year-round. The issue I had with this kit was getting the brightness correct. If I used a clear 1156 bulb in the turn signal sockets and the provided red lenses, those bulbs produced about 21 watts in "running light" mode (bright), and about 27 watts in the "brake/turn signal" mode (very bright). The bulb in the center (the standard brake and running light) was much dimmer except when braking. I tried many things to dim the turn signal lights to match the center light, so it didn't look like I was always braking. This included using amber bulbs, using chrome bulbs, painting the inside of the lenses, using smoked lenses and various combinations. The closest I got was using amber bulbs with red lenses, painted on the inside. Unfortunately once I achieved this it became apparent that the turn signals were hard to see when activated, and I thought that was dangerous. This was a multi-year experiment for me and ultimately I removed the kit, put back the clear 1156's and red, unpainted lenses. HD needs to make the difference between "running light" mode and "brake/turn signal" mode greater. In the mean time, I would just get the red lenses only. 1157 bulb ~ watt 8 to 27; lumen 40, 400 1156 bulb ~ watt 21 to 27; lumen 300, 400 read more.

    Nice Feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install and only needed to change the flat covers on the back of the bike to red (came with the kit). Kept the original Halogen bulbs. Three working lights are back there now. Why this isn't a standard feature is anyone's guess.

Will this work on a 2018 FLHP model? I previously had an 08 FLHP and was able to find a kit, so was hoping I could do the same with my 2018. Thanks in advance.
