FEATURED REVIEW3/3/2025Night and Day over stock[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Takes some fine tuning but when you get it dialed in, it's so good. It's super simple to adjust. I keep a cheap hex key in my bar bag just in case I want to adjust it while I'm out. There's like 12 settings.

FEATURED REVIEW4/3/2024Higher speed confidence..[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few months of riding I have..7 turns preload...12 clicks compression and 14 clicks rebound. I'm 175 w/gear. Much more of a planted, confident feel when at highway speeds especially on imperfect pavement. Keeps that front wheel on the ground better which is noticeable especially in high speed curves. I also have the Ohlins/SE mono shock installed. This 2018 softail rides like a dream. read more.

FEATURED REVIEW12/1/2023Improved[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had these installed at the end of this season (Northeast) and they make a huge difference in ride quality. I have not yet upgraded the rear to Ohlins, so am still using stock rear shock. I found my Breakout's ride quality deteriorated at highway speed prior to upgrading to these front shocks. I could get up-to speed limit but experienced a lot of front to back road chatter making it hard to focus on the road.. The upgrade to the Ohlins front shocks has really helped this issue and allowed me to travel at highway speed much more comfortably. There are different tunings you can set on the shocks as well allowing you to cater the feel to your liking. I look forward to making the upgrade complete next season by installing the Ohlins rear shock. If you are doing any kind of serious riding with the Breakout I highly recommend this upgrade for improved ride feel, stability and overall comfort. read more.

Answer:yes. the cartridge kits only changes internals. outside is exactly the same except for the top of the fork cap, which will have your adjustments for ride quality

Answer:it will raise it and shift the geometry forward /weight shifted to the front tire. mind you, this is with both front and rear Öhlins SE, like my 20 fatboy. the difference is huge. the harshness is gone and the bike turns in so much better, quicker.
