Keep comfortable on cool morning or frigid night rides. These thermostatically controlled grips feature variable heat settings controlled with a military grade resistor, and use automatic temperature monitoring to adjust to ambient temperatures. Grips have been thermally mapped to provide a more uniform heat and are designed to achieve a maximum operating temperature approximately 20° Fahrenheit warmer than previous accessory heated grips for added warmth during cold rides.

Typical Harley Quality, Patience and Brains Needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second set of HD heated grips I have installed on one of my bikes. The first was on a FXDS Low Rider Conv and this latest set on a 2002 883 Sportster Roadster. Typical high quality heavy duty Harley stuff. I took one star away for installation; quite a bit of patience and either a lot of HD know-how or a REAL HD shop manual is required. If you are lacking either the patience or the know-how/shop manual, turn the job over to a dealer/competent mechanic. The grips themselves are not the problem; it's the switch blocks, throttle cables, wire routing, wire splicing, etc. When the directions say "Refer to the shop manual" they MEAN it. On my FXDS I got away without the cardboard shim in the brake lever when taking the right switch block apart. On the Roadster, no such luck and broke the stoplight switch and had to replace it before I could finish installing the grips (after ordering one and waiting......). So, OK, the job is done and they look great and work great. No extraneous wiring as they all fold in to either existing harnesses or inside the handlebars, and the control is a knob at the end of the left hand grip. No external control panel. Very unobtrusive. The grip system has three wires to connect to the bike's electrical system: a ground, a 12 volt "hot," and a 12 volt "ACC." The last one means that the grips are on only when the bike's key is in the ACC or ON position, so if you accidentally leave the grips on, they won't wear down the battery. The actual splicing in to the bike's wiring was, for me, the easiest part of the installation. Oh, and I didn't need to remove the gas tank on either bike. On the FXDS I used a rubber fuel hose as a snake to pull the wiring down through the adequate daylight under the tank. On the Roadster, I removed the tank's front bolt, allowing the tank to be swung up in front enough to snake the grip harness down along the frame backbone to the electrical mess under the seat. Easy peasy. read more.

    Holly heated grips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a pair of heated grips last year they never worked so I called up Harley Davison and they told me to send it back and they will test it but I can’t do that because we already cut the wires to extend it so I had to buy another pair which I was not happy about after all the money that I spent on Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories. I don’t think that was right. read more.

    Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aesthetically the grips not only look great, but they generate heat which is superb. They do exactly what they are intended to do, warm my hands in the cold.

These AND the other "Heated Grips" state they require: P/N 72673-11. So please explain why this website does not have a link to this required part? When i use the search at the top of the page and enter: P/N 72673-11. "No Results Found" is returned?

Hello Scott, I typed 72673-11 in the search and it populated for me. Try entering it without P/N in front of the number. Thanks H9FXE
