The adhesive tape could be a little better, when I had to remove the trim to get my air cleaner off it pulled the adhesive off instead of releasing the Velcro like it was supposed to read more.

Answer:Hootie This piece only works with the OE wedge shaped air cleaner cover. Typically when customers are upgrading their engine with the 131" kit, they will be using a different style air cleaner, which would not accommodate this piece. Any type of engraving on this piece could result in damage. Thanks, blue84irnhd read more.

Answer:Good morning dragon 69, This insert should be a thin metal similar to the other ones I have seen. It also uses a 3m product for adhesion that is similar to velcro for ease of removal for service. It is a plastic type velcro where the posts and grooves push together to hold. It is listed in the instruction sheet under guides on the product details portion under the pictures of the part when brought up on WWW.harley-davidson.com. I hope this helps. Answer:From the installation instructions under the "Guides" tab on this page: The air cleaner cover insert in this kit utilizes 3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable tape. This tape can be separated and pressed back together for service access to the air cleaner cover screw.
