Keep your cool on a sweltering summer day. Engineered to maximize rider and passenger comfort in high temperature situations, the CoolFlow Fan is the perfect addition if your bike is subjected to parade duty, rush hour traffic, or extreme temperature environments. Unlike traditional fan kits that try to cool the engine by blowing air across the cylinders and often onto your legs, the CoolFlow Fan keeps the riders comfortable by drawing the heated air away from the rear cylinder and exhaust pipe, and directing it toward the ground. Odometer fan status display feature availability varies by model and may not be available for your vehicle

    Disappointing Performance - COOLFLOW FAN
I recently installed the COOLFLOW FAN (Black, Item: 26800121), and while the installation was straightforward and easy, the results were not what I expected. Despite the fan's promise to cool the engine, I didn't notice any significant changes in engine temperature. In fact, after installing the fan, my oil temperature actually increased by about 10-15 degrees. I suspect this is due to the fan's placement or the heat it generates blowing directly onto the oil pan. Overall, I found this fan to be a waste of both time and money, as it didn't improve cooling and seemingly had a negative impact on my oil temperature. read more.

    Coolflow fan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well constructed. Easy install. If one has larger diameter header, aftermarket, that swing wider than stock. This item will touch the heat shield. It hasnt melted yet and i ride everyday. Though, it hasnt gotten that hot outside as of yet. Not in central Va. The one i purchased was the only one offered for my 21 Road King Special. Thought the website now offers one with a switch. I did not recieve any hardware or instructions. Though, its a basic install. Just had to search for bolts to fit. Wouldve been nice to have received the switch amd bolts to mount/operate it manually. Idk if it has even turned on as of yet? Its been activated via dealer. read more.

    • 7-2-24 cont. This evening, I checked for voltage. 9.5 volts from the bike to the fan. Attempted external power to the plug leeds in the connector. The fan still will not come on. If HD would like to give me some assistance with this. That'd be great.

    • Update 7-2-24. I have yet to hear or see this fan come on. I did not receive the switch or the relay with my kit. At the HD dealer where I work. I connected the bike back to the digital tech to be sure that it is activated. It was/is.

    A must have add on!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you ride when it's warm out, with a passenger, in slow traffic, in parades, then this fan is a must for your Harley!! This fan pulls that hot air coming off the rear cylinder and directs down towards the ground. By doing this it not only does this help reduce the temp on your engine, but more importantly that heat isn't rising up to your thigh/crotch area and for your passenger their right ankle/leg isn't getting roasted!! I put this fan on my 2014 Street Glide Special was really impressed by how well it work and my passenger, well she loved it!! So when I got my '21 Road King Special I knew this fan was going on it. I also highly recommend adding the mid-frame air deflectors because they help further keep heat off you thighs and form a "tunnel air flow" effect when the fan is running better aiding in drawing hot air downward. You won't be disappointed adding this fan to your bike! The only downside is that you have to pay to have your bike "flashed" at the dealership so the bike "knows" the fan is there, which means more out of pocket $$. I think the flash update should be part of the fan's purchase price. read more.

  • Question:

Is there any plans to design this fan for the older bikes?
    Mallix - SE Michigan
    • Answer:
Not likely. My guess is that it would probably involve a change to the on-board computer to accommodate the fan - making it much more expensive. I don't know if it fits physically, but if it did, it could probably be wired independently - if you're savvy with the H-D electrical system.
      • Answer:
Hi Mallix, Unfortunately, we are unable to determine if upcoming products will focus on older model bikes; or if there will be a reproduction of this item for older model bikes. At this time, it would be best to keep checking for updates. Thanks!
