FEATURED REVIEW5/29/2025Garbage that doesn't fit[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fork tube covers don't sit flush once you start to torque them down. Yes, I tightened them against a flat. There's probably 1/16" gap on the side opposite the set screw once they get torqued down. I used a torque wrench also. Then to the fork stem nut cover. There's probably a 1/4" gap between the nut and inside diameter of the cover when it's centered. No way it's fitting. No shim, no longer set screw, nothing in the kit to adapt to such a small nut. I checked the part number on the box vs what I ordered and everything checks out. According to the site it should fit, but certainly doesn't. The picture is the factory fork stem cover with the brass one and a shim I made to try to get it to work, to no avail. read more.

FEATURED REVIEW7/21/2022Make it fit.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I also had the problem with the stem cover not fitting, so I took a piece of metal pipe that fit over the stem nut and a hair taller, and place a washer on top with a screw that fits to hold it down and it takes up the space so the set screw works. I had everything so it only takes ten minutes. read more.

FEATURED REVIEW7/4/2020Doesnt fit listed biked[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As you see in other comments, the center Fork Stem Nut cover (45500308) does not fit mt 2016 FLSS. It's too big and will not lock on. It would require making some type of custom insert. I bought $900 worth of this brass collection, do I'm pretty disappointed with this not fitting. read more.

FEATURED REVIEW11/22/2018Looks great on my FXDLS[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took all of 5 minutes to put them on my Low Rider S, which they fit on just fine. Not only do they look great on the bike, the blinding reflection from the sun reflecting off the chrome parts is gone. Classy stuff that matches the other Brass Collection parts nicely. read more.

FEATURED REVIEW5/2/2018Over DoneI have quiet a few brass parts on my Forty-Eight, some even from Japan and this is my least favorite item. The parts are coated in something that is impossible to remove and give the parts a cheap plastic look. My other brass parts I was able to give them an antique look that I desired. I was unable to obtain that look with these parts and was greatly disappointed. read more.

Answer:Kyle; The caps are made of a brass alloy material. They are polished and brushed to finish appearance. Not sure polishing the caps would give you the look you may want. Thanks, LeakyShovel73
