Seat Height

Choose your throne’s height wisely.

Living life on the edge of your seat may be fun, but it sure isn’t comfortable. Smart riders know that, when your saddle’s the perfect height, you can relax into it and still stay in easy reach of everything you need—including the ground. So when you’re choosing the height of your seat, it’s good to think about ergonomics, safety and comfort. If you’re 5’9 or taller, a “High” saddle will likely give you optimal leg room, but keep in mind that many seats have different widths which will affect comfort and stance as well.

TIP: For new riders, it’s best to be flat-footed and stable when your bike is at a stop.
