In very few words it’s like waking up a BEAST! Love my sporty but needed that extra power for highway speeds . Didn’t wanna trade it in so went this route and oh boy glad I did. Still need to get it dyno tuned but couldn’t be happier with the out come ! So just do it ! LOL

Had the dealer install the kit. Couldn't flash the tuner because the VIN shows it's a California bike. Even though everything on the website says this is 50 state compliant, it's not California CARB compliant. Dealer confirmed this with the HD factory. Now I have a choice of going back to the 883 or using a none Harley tuner and voiding the warranty. I'm giving two stars because Harley doesn't include that info in the description and allows it to be shipped to California. read more.

Can’t go wrong with Genuine Harley parts. I did have some confusion with the head gasket included. The manual calls for the included o-rings to surround the cylinder to head dowels. The head gasket has holes that are too small to use the o-rings around those dowels. Here’s hoping I don't have a leak. read more.

    • Wow!!! A near $1,000 price increase from when I bought it in 2023. I remember when this was $899. Any how, I didn’t use the o-rings at the head gasket. No issues to report either. They simply would not fit with the head gasket supplied in the kit.

    • This confused me too. The manual says an o ring goes there but what about the head gasket ? Do you put the o ring on top or below the head gasket ? I had someone do it for me because that particular part confused me and I couldn't get a straight answer.

It’s nice to have a bike that is at a speed you can control as a first time rider but it also is nice to have a bike that complete ride free control, this kit allows protection to keep up with how I get around safely , it gets me home by maneuvering around the faster cars great option the 883 to be able to change to a 1200 , power needed for a safe ride home read more.

    A new bike

Hands down the best mod I’ve done to my 2016 Iron. It pulls in all five gears and gave me high end passing power I was looking for. Expensive. But so is upgrading to a new bigger bike. Added the black push rod covers and had the rocker boxes painted black. I loved the bike but after a couple years I was looking for more power to pass at higher speed and ability to sit on the throttle for longer runs. This does it plus I keep the look and feel of the bike. It’s the reason I bought this sportster to begin with. If you are planing to keep your iron 883 long term than this is for you. read more.

  • Question:

Very simple question, how many hours of "book labor" does the Harley dealer charge to install this kit minimum? Not asking rate, just the upfront amount of hours charged supposing no issues arise. If you don't know or have the answer, do not reply.
    Chuck - Henderson NV
    • Answer:
They told me 5 hours today at fox river HD in Illinois. Plus the ecu flash (1 hour)
  • Question:
    3/12/2023
Hi I have a 2004 Sportster 883 XLC. My question is : why won’t this kit work with a Sportster older than 2007? Is it just that there is no tune available? If I am able to tune and calibrate the carburetor will the actual parts be fine to work?
    D Man - NC
    • Answer:
D Man These kits are designed as a kit for 2007 and later XL models. There is not testing to document and share what fits what on older motorcycles. Please reach out to a dealer with your concern, and they should be able to custom tailor a plan to meet your performance requests.
