I just recently purchased this engine for my 17 Limited. I'm still breaking it in. it has decent pull from the start. you can feel it come alive after 3200 RPM It defiantly feels like it wants to run at a higher RPM. after break in i will report more. so far I am happy

    • okay have an update . just got my bike back from the dealer , the oil leak was caused by the rocker box gasket. The tech told me that not all of the bolts were not tight that is why the gasket started leaking. He Fixed it

    Real Numbers
The numbers Harley puts on this is with their standard tune. I have the 128 on my '17 Ultra with a Woods cam and get 141HP and 151T. Haven't opened it all the way up yet, but have reached 163 mph after tuning it. Most people who challenge end up looking at my backside as I pull away from them even on my 1000 lb. Ultra. read more.

    Dear Vulcan rider
I glad you like your very powerful metric bike. I have had both HD and asian steel (haven't owned any european bikes yet). Point is yes we can all agree that metric bikes can be faster, quicker and in some cases even more comfortable. That why I always advise new riders to consider what it is they truly want from a riding experience. I often recommend metric for speed and value but warn them that if respect from V-Twin riders and cool factor from non riders then spend the extra dough and buy a Harley because you'll never feel as good on any other bike as you do on HD. PS would love to put the engine on my '18 roadie. Anyone who has one of these, please leave us poor devils a comment before you roll on and leave us in your rearview. read more.

    • If you are talking about the SE 131 stage 4 engine from HD I recently Put one on my 17 limited. keep this in mind I have a ESP on my bike so it is Warranty compliant. 126 HP 129 Torque. runs great has good power. gets up to 100MPH fast no problem

    • Ultima engines offer some incredible engines at better prices. HD needs to get their costs under control. I loved my sporty and soft tail that I got in the early 2000s. The Sportster has incr. $4000! Same bike, just more electronics.

  • Question:
    5/1/2023
The details of this engine call out Head Pipe P/N 65600177 as being required. Why is this headpiece required, is it a fitment or EPA issue? What if someone already has this pipe and buys this engine. Are they required to purchase a second pipe?
    Turboprop - Dixie
    • Answer:
The 6560017 head pipe is not required in order to purchase the engine, only for warranty. It is up to individual dealerships if a second pipe must be purchased to maintain the factory warranty.

I have a 2006 Road King Custom with a 5 speed transmission what one of these motors will fit my bike? What kind of Engine Management Unit is needed and do you sell said engine management system
    Timothy - WI
    • Answer:
Good afternoon Timothy, It looks like the only "crate engines" currently available for your motorcycle would be the JIMS 120", 131", or 135" engines. Harley-Davidson doesn't offer anything to tune these engines - you'd need to source that elsewheres.
